OMAM Ch 1 Graphic Organizer- study while tutors complete your binder checks, then hand in before the quiz!!
Agenda:
Update planners with Agenda and HW
Announcements:
Students should stand for the Pledge of Allegiance, then listen
QUIETLY
to the announcements while they update their planners
Binder Checks
Students fill out binder check forms, then hand in binders to college tutors to grade.
Students should study their Of Mice and Men Ch 1 Graphic Organizers while tutors grade binders!!
Quiz: Chapter 1
Of Mice and Men
Collect graphic organizers.
During Quiz-
Students should clear off their desks and have ONLY a pen or pencil, no backpacks, folders etc. on desk!
Students should face forward and keep their eyes on their own paper/desk.
Absolutely NO talking during the quiz!! Even if you finish early, stay silent until EVERYONE is finished.
4. George or Lennie Simile One Pager (a simile is a comparison between two things using "like" or "as")
Choose either George or Lennie
Write the full name of the character at the top of the page.
Write a simile to describe the character using "like" or "as".
Draw a picture or symbol representing the character, it must be in color!!
Write a quote from the text from chapter 1 as evidence to support your simile.
Write a short explanation connecting your simile and quote.
Use lots of color to decorate your one pager! Be creative!
